CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR DESIGN & SUPERVISION OF THE BATINAH EXPRESSWAY- SULTANATE OF OMAN, 135 KM (2X4)

Project Description

Batinah Expressway, about 275 km long and with 250 km link roads, starts from the end of Muscat Highway. The alignment runs nearly parallel to the existing Batinah Highway dual carriageway at a distance varying between 5 km and 20 km approximately on the mountain side, and ends near the Oman – UAE border at Khatmat Malaha. 

The Expressway is divided into Three Sections, namely Section–I, Section–II and Section–III within each of these sections the existing network of roads which will link to the Expressway are proposed to be upgraded and dualized. Section–I have 80 Km. of Link Roads, Section–II has 130 Km. of Link Roads and Section–III has 40 Km. of Link Roads.

Section I: 90 km (2x4) and 80 km link road

Section II: 90 km (2x4) and 130 km link road

Section III: 95 km (2x4) and 40 km link road

 Project Details

  • 6 interchanges,14 flyovers, 18 underpasses
  • All types of drainage structures including bridges, culverts, retaining and flood protection/training works
  • All the works necessary for the construction and operation of the expressway
